2011-2012 ELBERT ELEMENTARY SUPPLY LIST

ALL CLASSES – White soled PE shoes that can be left at school for gym class only

PRESCHOOL
2 rolls of paper towels, 2 boxes of Kleenex, 2 glue sticks, 1 pkg. multicolor dry erase markers, 1 box gallon sized Ziploc bags, 1 backpack, 2 cans of shave cream, 1 5 lb. bag of flour (last name beginning A-M), 1 box of salt (last name beginning N-Z).

KINDERGARTEN
1 bottle WHITE WASHABLE SCHOOL GLUE, Elmer’s only please!  8 oz size or larger, 4 pack of glue sticks to be shared, 2 rolls of paper towels to be shared, 1 box of quart sized zip lock bags to be shared, 1 box of tissues to be shared, One pair of clean tennis shoes for P.E. (they will stay at school only for P.E.), 1 pair of scissors, 1 box of crayons, (I like the size with 24 crayons.) (The large size crayons are not needed. No markers please), 1 box of colored pencils to be shared, 5-10 pencils to be shared, 1 box of pencil top erasers to be shared, A backpack or book bag that is big enough to carry home paper and projects from school each day.

1ST GRADE
2 boxes Kleenex, 6 pencils-sharpened ahead of time, 1 box 48 crayons, 1 round tip Fiskars scissors, Elmer’s School Glue, 2 glue sticks, 1 paint shirt, 1 pr. non marking tennis shoes, Boys: 1 box gallon size Ziploc bags; Girls: 1 box sandwich  size Ziploc bags, wet wipes, 1 coloring book.  

2ND GRADE
1 box Kleenex, 1 school box, 1 box crayons, 1 box colored pencils, 1 bottle Elmer’s glue (washable), 1 pair sharp scissors, 1 eraser, 1 folder, 1 ruler, 12 pencils (#2 lead), Boys:  box large Ziploc bags, Girls: 1 box small Ziploc bags, non marking gym shoes (not to be worn outside), old shirt or smock for Art, and washable markers. Please do not send Trapper Keepers, as they do not fit in our desks.

3RD GRADE
For the class to share (no names): 48 #2 sharpened pencils (1/2 now ½ at midyear), 2 pkg. wide ruled filler paper, 10 paper pocket folders with brads (mixed colors), 1 box of tissues For personal use: paint shirt (dad’s old shirt), P.E. shoes (non marking soles), 1 pack of washable markers, 2 pink erasers, backpack (lockers are small-no wheels), No pencil boxes (desks are too small), 1 spiral notebook, 1 composition notebook (usually black/white checkered) 1-1 inch binder (any color). Keep at home: Extra pencils, paper, and any other supplies for homework.

4TH GRADE
6 dozen pencils, glue and glue stick, colored pencils, crayons, 3 purple pens, dry erase markers, 4 pocket expandable file, 2 pks. ruled notebook paper, 2 packs of 4 squares per inch graph paper, 1-6 pk. tabbed dividers, ruler with Centimeters and Inches, scissors, pencil sharpener with barrel to catch shavings, pink pearl eraser, multiplication flash cards, 3 boxes kleenex, 1-inch three ring notebook.

5TH GRADE
1-24 colored pencils (NO CRAYONS), 2 glue sticks, scissors, 3 pkgs. COLLEGE ruled notebook paper, 2 pink pearl erasers, 1 doz. red pens, 4 doz. Pencils (or 2 doz. To start the year and 2 doz. to start 2nd quarter), 3 boxes of kleenex, ruler with centimeters & inches, protractor, 2 pkgs. graph paper, 2 yellow highlighters.

6TH GRADE
Pens, pencils, markers or crayons, colored pencils, ruler, protractor, compass, notebook paper, glue, scissors, Kleenex, a binder, and one working brain.
